Licence categories

The following table illustrates the key changes between the Dangerous Goods (Explosives) Regulations 2000 licence categories and the categories under the new regulations.

There are fewer types of licences under the new regulations, so when you come to renew your licence refer to the table below to determine which licence applies to your activities. You do not need to renew your licence until it expires, even if it doesn't exist under the new regulations.
