Personal safety and wellbeing

Your safety and wellbeing is important, particularly when recovering from a workplace injury.

WorkSafe Victoria takes the personal safety, care and wellbeing of all injured workers seriously and does not tolerate unacceptable behaviour including intimidation, violence and abuse towards them.

We have compiled the following information to help injured workers, service providers and all Victorians identify unacceptable behaviours, take steps to increase personal safety and wellbeing, and connect with appropriate support organisations.

In an emergency, or if you're in danger, please call:

  • 000 for police, ambulance or fire; or
  • 106 (if you are deaf or have a speech or hearing impairment)

This is a Text Emergency Call, not SMS

If you are feeling suicidal or need to talk to someone urgently regardless of the topic, please call:

  • Lifeline 13 11 14 (toll free 24/7)
