Getting Return To Work Assistance - Occupational Rehabilitation
Employers and injured workers trying to return to work may benefit from occupational rehabilitation services to help identify suitable duties.
You should contact the WorkSafe Agent responsible for managing the worker’s claim to discuss whether an occupational rehabilitation service would be useful for facilitating return to work given the circumstances of the worker’s claim and injury.
The WorkSafe Agent is responsible for approving an occupational rehabilitation service and will offer it to the worker as part of their WorkSafe claim. Once a service is approved, the worker has the right to choose which provider they would like to deliver the service from a list of at least three providers (where available) compiled by the Agent, that take into consideration relevant criteria about the injury and type of occupational rehabilitation service required.
