Attendant care providers need to complete the "Application for attendant care provider status" form in order to become a registered provider. Under Section 99 of the Accident Compensation Act, the Victorian WorkCover Authority (VWA) is liable for the reasonable costs of attendant care services required by injured workers. VWA policy is that services must be certified as being required by the injured workerÂ’s treating medical practitioner and are provided under the direction of this practitioner.
