FAQ: Review Of Benefits For Injured Workers
In November, 2005, the State Government announced a $155 million package of initiatives to benefit Victorian injured workers and their families. The reforms have now been introduced into Parliament and are expected to be in place by mid-July.
The package is innovative- tackling some of the systemic issues that can hamper a worker re-joining employment and community life, or see a family struggle with the legacy of a very serious workplace injury or death. It provides improved benefits to those workers already in the system and those unfortunate enough to be injured in the future.
Factsheets provide detail of the package.
