Memorandums of Understanding (MOU)
WorkSafe is responsible for administering occupational health and safety, dangerous goods and public safety legislation in Victoria. WorkSafe interacts with the jurisdiction of other Government regulatory agencies where the activities of these agencies can overlap and industry stakeholders can be covered by more than one agency.
To promote a co-operative approach, WorkSafe has developed Memoranda of Understanding (MOU)with a number of these regulatory agencies. Each Memorandum establishes protocols to deal with cross-jurisdictional issues and aims to remove duplication of requirements for stakeholders.
WorkSafe has the following signed Memoranda Of Understanding:.
- Australian Maritime Safety Authority
- Country Fire Authority and Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board
- Department of Human Services and 5 Schedules
- Department of Primary Industries
