Research

The AYRC (a division of the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Education) has been commissioned to undertake research into the OHS knowledge, skills and behaviours of young people in secondary education.

Based on focus group interviews with 125 secondary and TAFE students who also work on a casual and part-time basis, the research explores what young Victorian students currently know about workplace health and safety, the sources and quality of their information, and whether they are able to apply it in work settings.

The research is close to completion and the final report will be available to download from WorkSafe's website in November 2008.
