Designers, Manufacturers and Suppliers

The safe design of forklifts plays a critical role in reducing risks in workplaces.

If you design, manufacture or supply forklifts for use in a workplace, you must ensure that they are safe, so far as is reasonably practicable.

Manufacturers and suppliers must also provide information on the safe use and maintenance of forklifts when giving or supplying them to someone else. Suppliers also have duty to ensure they supply plant that is safe and without risk to the end-user.
