Your Legal Duties
Duties under the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2007:
- principal contractors must prepare health and safety co-ordination plans for construction projects costing $250,000 or more
- employers and self-employed people must prepare and work according to Safe Work Method Statements for high risk construction work
- employees must be given construction induction training before undertaking construction work, and
- employees must be given a site induction before starting work on a construction site.
