Registration process
Applicants who already hold a certificate of competency must complete the registration process to transfer to the new licence for high risk work. The 2 step registration process is detailed below.
STEP 1. Register your details online
Register details online - you will need to have handy your certificate number and date of issue. If you have more than one certificate, use the earliest date.
Once you have registered online WorkSafe will organise to send you a Licence to Perform High Risk Work Transfer Application Pack three months before your existing certificate expires.
STEP 2. Lodge your application form at an Australia Post outlet
Go to an Australian Post outlet in person, and take your completed Transfer Application Form but do not sign it. Your signature must be witnessed by an Australia Post Officer at lodgement.
Remember to take:
- your unsigned completed Transfer Application Form (must be the original)
- 100 points of identification
- your current Victorian issued certificates
- a recent passport size photo of yourself
- the application fee of $45.
Australia Post will process your application on behalf of WorkSafe and you should receive your licence within 8 weeks - more complex applications may take longer.
