WISE Employer Subsidy - initial payment - $2,000

WISE reimbursement = 30% of $25,480 = $7,644
Total reimbursement to WISE employer = $17,288
Injury insurance
What if a worker is injured on a WISE placement?
If your worker gets a new injury in their first year of employment through WISE, this new claim is excluded from the calculation of your premium, so there is no impact on your WorkSafe injury insurance. You are obliged, however, to pay the employer excess which is the first 10 days of weekly payments and the first $610 of medical and like services (correct as at 1 July 2011- indexed annually).
