Young workers
Workers aged 15 to 24 years old are more likely to be injured at work than any other age group in Victoria.
Young workers in all types of employment – casual, full-time, part-time, temporary, work experience and apprenticeships – have the highest rate of injury in the state, and their injuries are more likely to result in hospitalisation.
Specific attention should be given to the training and supervision of young people in the workplace to ensure they have the information they need to work safely.
