Workcover Certificate of CapacityIf you have a work-related injury or illness and cannot do your normal job, you will need a specific medical certificate to give your employer details of your injury and what you might be capable of doing.  This is known as a Certificate of Capacity.

Additional certificates

  • These can be for up to 28 days each
  • They can be issued and signed by medical practitioners, chiropractors, physiotherapists or osteopaths

You must have a certificate if you wish to continue to claim compensation in the form of weekly payments.
