"Advice for Managing Major Events Safely" is a 64 page publication that provides practical information to major event organisers, venue owners and suppliers about the management of safety risks and meeting their duty of care through integrated event safety planning. The publication adopts a risk management approach to safety at major events. It has been developed to complement the process described in the Australian Standard for Risk Management (AS/NZS 4360-2004), whilst also drawing on the Australian Standard: OHS Management Systems - Specification with Guidance for Use (AS 4801-2000). The publication includes: advice on event safety policies, from planning and implementation to monitoring and reviewing; advice on contractor management; bow tie diagrams; risk analysis matrixes; and a job safety analysis (JSA) worksheet among other resources.
