Brian Chamberlin - Education Officer, WorkSafe Victoria
Brian Chamberlin is the WorkSafe Victoria Construction Industry Education Officer. His primary role is to engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver high quality, targeted 'risk based' information, training and related materials, promote improved OHS outcomes in Victoria's construction sector. His previous roles include WorkSafe Inspector – Construction, TAFE Teacher - Swinburne TAFE (Building and Construction), and Self-employed Carpenter.
Paul Williams - Housing Industry Association
Paul Williams is tertiary qualified with relevant experience in the construction industry gained whilst employed directly with the Housing Industry Association for over 7 years. Working closely with WorkSafe Victoria, Paul has achieved significant recognition amongst his peers for being proactive and positive, driving culture change in often challenging environments. Paul also sits on the Victorian Volume Home Builders Safety Alliance contributing to safety outcomes for some of Australia’s leading builders.
Sam Smith - OHS Manager, Master Builders Victoria
Sam Smith is the OHS Manager and has been at Master Builders Victoria for six years. Experienced in Occupational Health and Safety and Workers Compensation, Sam has applied this knowledge of practical solutions in a variety of industries including finance, government, emergency response and major events. Sam is an excellent communicator across all aspects of a project from workers to management, providing advice and support in both domestic and commercial construction. Sam has also represents Master Builders on a number of stakeholder forums to assist in the development of guidance material and provide advice in the areas of OHS.
