Join us for a free trade breakfast where WorkSafe Victoria's construction inspectors and specialists will be available to discuss hazards impacting the construction industry, including:
- identifying high risk crystalline silica work and controlling exposure to crystalline silica dust during common construction activities
- implementing the hierarchy of control to protect you and your workers from a fall
- safe elements of electrical isolation - understanding the difference between de-energised and isolated
- trenching safety controls and the consequences of unsafe trenching practices
- selection and safe use of an elevating work platform (EWP)

Around 36% of workplace injuries in Victoria are for musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) caused by hazardous manual handling. Most work involves manual handling every day, but addressing hazardous manual handling can feel complicated and overwhelming.
In this session you’ll learn about the guidance, practical tools and education programs that WorkSafe have developed to help your business prevent MSDs from hazardous manual handling.
