WorkSafe has introduced an infringement notice scheme. Victorian workplaces who fail to comply with the occupational health and safety (OHS) laws can be fined for a range of offences. Importantly, infringement notices don’t create extra obligations, they’re an additional compliance and enforcement tool for WorkSafe inspectors and are all existing offences under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 or Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017 that must already be complied with. They will act as another deterrent to non-compliance and help promote safer workplaces. Register to attend and learn more. There will be an opportunity to ask questions in the session.
