Safety at Major Hazard Facilities
Safety at Major Hazard Facilities is not about the absence of something, it is about the presence of something. People, at all levels of an organisation create safety through practice.
The events of the last year highlight the importance of building safety capability and resilience in major hazards facility operations. The forum will look at the ability for systems to absorb and rebound from disruptions or adapt to cope with surprises.
Over two interactive days, participants will be able to engage with Major Hazard Facility operators, safety practitioners, and regulators with modern safety theory. Hear from renowned industry experts including Trish Kerin (IChemE Safety Centre), Dr. Drew Rae (Griffith University), Dr. Tristan Casey (Griffith University), Dr. David Provan (Forge Works) and many more – as well as industry and national regulator representatives.
Facilitated by award winning ABC Journalist Yvette Gray, the forum will also feature interactive panel presentations, virtual exhibitions, and messages from Regulators around the country.
