Before you start your registration, make sure you check to see if you need WorkCover insurance.
The online registration form doesn't quote the cost of your premium – this will be calculated after the WorkCover Agent completes the registration process.
If you need assistance you can contact a WorkSafe Agent at any time. If you're a labour hire employer you need to contact a WorkCover Agent before you register.
Register by post
Complete the form and post it to the WorkSafe Agent of your choice.
Check the progress of an registration
You can check the status of your registration for up to 60 days after you've submitted it:
- Check the progress of your online registration or
- Contact your WorkSafe Agent for the progress of your postal registration
Manage your WorkCover insurance
You'll receive a username and password for your WorkSafe insurance login (Online Employer Services) when your registration is complete. You can use it to manage your registration and meet your maintenance obligations.
Insurance cover notes
If you haven't lodged an registration within the last 30 days, your WorkSafe Agent can provide you with a cover note. You'll need to complete a full registration before the cover note expires.
The cost of WorkCover insurance
Your WorkCover insurance will cost the same amount from every WorkSafe Agent – Agents won't provide quotes. Instead, you'll receive a premium notice that's based on the information you provide when you register.
You have the right to request a review of the premium amount if you disagree with the calculation.
