Simpler. Faster. Easier.
We’ve redesigned the WorkSafe website to make it more intuitive for everyone. Whether you’re an employer, worker, health and safety representative, health professional or health and safety expert, it should be simple, fast and easy to do the things you need to do.
The website makes finding and searching easier than ever before. We’ve made it simpler to find prevention information and tools, renew your insurance and apply for a licence.
The first step on the road to 2030
This is the first step in implementing WorkSafe 2030 - an organisational strategy to move toward a more client-focused and prevention-led WorkSafe experience both online and face to face.
We have a team of designers and developers working together to make improvements to the website consistently over time. This means the site will only become more user-friendly and enable more tasks to be completed as more improvements are made.
A modern design
The site uses white space to create a modern and simple user experience - it’s been designed to make finding and reading information easy. The design also adapts for all screen sizes, from mobile phones to desktop computers.
We've put the search front and centre to help people find information quickly and easily.
We’ve featured the most frequently used tasks in large text on the homepage.
We’ve also created a system of cards, similar to Netflix. ‘Cards’ are a modern standard for user interface design. They are flexible and can be stacked, dragged, filtered or placed anywhere that’s needed.
Designed with people, for people
Our design has been informed by a range of user-centred design activities, such as interviews, user tests and workshops.
We’ve involved employers, workers, health and safety representatives, and WorkSafe staff at key points along the journey. It’s important to us that what we create isn’t just good in theory, but works in reality.
But this is only the beginning. We will continue to involve all people involved in the WorkSafe community as we continue to test, build and learn with the website over the coming months and years.
