[Ben demonstrates the crush to the viewer, showing the viewer that the cow’s head is secured and opening the gate to show the cow's body.]
The beauty with our crush, we can secure the animal with the head locked. Come here, open up this latch, nice and safe. Still away from the cow. Assess if it's a boy or a girl, that one, we’ve got a heifer.
[Ben then moves to the front of the crush, opens the yard gate and points to the secured cow. Addressing the viewer, Ben then demonstrates opening two more latches.]
We can then come down the front, open up this gate, again the cow's secure so it's safe. We come in here, open up this latch, which we can draft heifers off into that one, and steers go straight ahead.
