Stephen Koch: I think a key thing the farming environment, especially with employees, a lot of young people become employees early in their life on farms, and I guess a lot of people – not traditionally would be the wrong word – but often safety isn't the greater focus. People don't talk necessarily about it.

Stephen Koch: If we have visitors to the farm, I’ll assess what they do or don't know of cattle.

Stephen Koch: A lot of people say they know a lot, but soon you learn what they do or don’t know. I’ll spend my time with them to explain our operating and handling procedures, the way we operate the yards, what works with our cattle, even as simple as which way to swing the gates, because there may be a way that works better in our yard.
