Register as a service provider

Application

An individual or organisation can apply to provide interpreting services.

As part of your application, you need to:

  • apply to register as a service provider
  • provide documents showing your qualifications
  • provide documents showing National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) certification.

This can include evidence of eligibility to become NAATI certified.

WorkSafe will contact providers for more information or clarification before processing the form.

Accreditation

Applicants will need to provide written confirmation they have one of the following.

  • NAATI professional level accreditation. This was formerly Level 3.
  • NAATI Paraprofessional level accreditation for languages. You need this when professional level accreditation is not available for assessment. This was formerly Level 2.
  • Education and experience when NAATI accreditation is not available.

WorkSafe will issue a provider number for invoicing purposes.
