Two lives lost in workplace incidents

A 24-year-old man died while operating an electric utility cart at Melbourne Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Market in Epping on Monday.

It is believed the man drove into a parked truck about 5.30am.

On Saturday, a 57-year-old-man died while working alone collecting a skip bin from a residential property at St Albans.

It is believed the man's truck rolled forward, crushing him against a brick wall about 8.30am.

WorkSafe is investigating both incidents.

The deaths bring the number of workplace fatalities this year to 30.
