Worker dies in garbage truck crush

It's understood the 26-year-old got out of the truck on Hosier Lane about 7am before it rolled forward and pinned him against a post and building wall.

WorkSafe is investigating.

The death is the 29th confirmed workplace fatality for 2023. There were 31 work-related deaths at the same time last year.
