WorkSafe investigates Dandenong South factory fatality

A teenager has died after being crushed in an incident at a Dandenong South factory today.

It is believed the 15-year-old male was fixing defects on a precast concrete panel when an adjacent panel weighing more than two tonnes fell onto him.

WorkSafe is investigating.

The death is the 34th confirmed workplace fatality for 2026. There were 46 work-related deaths at the same time last year.
