WorkSafe investigates Truganina scissor lift fatality

It is understood the 59-year-old man was servicing an overhead bridge crane at the workplace when it started moving and the scissor lift he was working from toppled over.

The worker was ejected from the basket of the scissor lift as it fell and died at the scene.

The death is the 32nd confirmed workplace fatality for 2026. There were 44 work-related deaths at the same time last year.
