Noise Basics – Q & A sessions are an opportunity to discuss the advice, resources and tools presented in the Noise Basics workshop in more detail, with our health and safety experts.

The content will be led by the questions asked on the day.

Meet our experts

Jonathan Li

Senior Occupational Hygienist, WorkSafe Victoria

Jonathan Li is a Senior Occupational Hygienist in WorkSafe’s Occupational Hygiene Specialist Team. He is an Inspector appointed under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, Equipment (Public Safety) Act 1994 and Dangerous Goods Act 1985.

Jonathan has 16+ years’ experience in OHS. He holds a Master’s Degree of Science in Industrial Hygiene, is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH). He is also a full member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (MAIOH).

Jonathan has worked in the areas of marine logistics, construction, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals, for both private and government organisations around the world. He is experienced in all areas of hazard identification and risk assessment, personal exposure assessment, occupational hygiene programs, and data analysis to maintain regulatory compliance.

Lauren Pickering

Senior Occupational Hygienist, WorkSafe Victoria

Lauren is an Inspector appointed under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004. Lauren holds a Master’s Degree in Occupational Hygiene and Toxicology and is a full member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (MAIOH).

Lauren has 15+ years’ experience and has worked across a diverse range of industries including consulting, construction, power generation, defence, mining and quarrying. She is experienced in performing hazard identification, personal exposure assessment, occupational hygiene program implementation, risk assessment and data analysis, to maintain regulatory compliance.

These sessions are reserved for and exclusive to participants of the Noise Basics workshop.
