Fall prevention in erecting and dismantling birdcage scaffolding

What it contains

This guide is based on Victorian Scaffolding Safety Committee guidance to safely build and take apart birdcage scaffolds up to 20 metres high. Following this guidance can reduce or eliminate the serious workplace health and safety risk of falls while undertaking this work. You can use this guide to create scaffold designs that show:

• the maximum height of scaffolds
• how many decks and platforms are included
• the duty rating of work platforms
