WorkSafe Victoria commissioned this qualitative research to better understand the mindsets, motivations, and behaviours shaping seatbelt use on farms.

While seatbelts are a long-established safety norm on roads, they remain inconsistently used in tractors and side-by-sides; vehicles at the centre of daily farm work.

The research explores how farmers perceive risk, how cultural and practical realities influence compliance, and what opportunities exist to drive positive behaviour change.
