Compliance code: First aid in the workplace – Response to public comment

What it contains

WorkSafe consulted employers, employees and duty holders when developing the First aid in the workplace compliance code and interested individuals and members of the public were also invited to provide their comments during the public consultation period.

Feedback and engagement from our stakeholders has played a vital part in making sure the First aid in the workplace compliance code 2021 (code) better reflect current Victorian work practices.

In 2020 the code was available for public comment. WorkSafe received 11 submissions which it considered and responded to before finalising the code.

This document covers the consultation process, and summarises the matters raised in public comment submissions and WorkSafe's responses to these, including how they have informed the code.
