Falls prevention checklist

Employers and employees should use this checklist to ensure adequate controls are in place to eliminate or reduce risks to health and safety from falls.

This checklist guides you through a series of questions that should be asked before undertaking construction work where there is a risk of falling. The questions cover:

  • working at height
  • working on roofs
  • scaffolds
  • ladders
  • steps, stairways and voids
