Industry standard: Concrete-pumping equipment (PDF)
For the safe use of concrete-pumping equipment.
What it contains
This industry standard provides practical advice on the safe use, inspection and maintenance of concrete-placing equipment. The standard includes the principles and requirements for using concrete-placing equipment in the building and construction industry. Concrete-placing equipment can be:
- powered, mobile, truck-mounted plant that incorporates a knuckle boom (boom pump), or a line pump, or
- satellite or tower pumps used to place concrete through a pipeline attached to the plant.
The content in this industry standard is based on industry expectations and practices and systems that are current at the time of publication. This industry standard does not prevent the use of other approaches, practices and systems from being used in the future if those methods achieve an equivalent or improved level of safety.
This industry standard is not intended to provide detailed information in relation to the duties of designers and manufacturers of concrete-placing equipment. For information about duties in relation to plant design, manufacturing, supply and design registration, the design registration process and design verification, see the Compliance code: Plant.
