Memorandum of Understanding: WorkSafe Victoria and Safer Care Victoria

What it contains

Memorandum of Understanding between Victorian WorkCover Authority (trading as WorkSafe Victoria) and Safer Care Victoria.

• The purpose of this MOU is principally to provide guidance on the roles and responsibilities of the parties in discharging their obligations (under their respective enabling legislation) relating to areas of legislative overlap.
• This MOU sets out the common understanding between the parties as a voluntary statement of intent and contains the serious commitment of both parties at the time the MOU is signed and for the duration of the MOU.
• The parties acknowledge that nothing in this MOU is intended to modify or restrict the respective statutory functions and powers of each of the parties under the relevant legislation that they administer.
• The MOU is not intended to create legally enforceable obligations between the parties.
