WorkSafe Victoria Strategy

What it contains

Our 5-year strategy is WorkSafe’s next step in reducing workplace harm and improving outcomes for injured workers in Victoria.

It outlines our current challenges, how we will address them and how we will drive better value for the Victorian community.

Our goals over the next 5 years are to:

• reduce workplace deaths by 30%
• reduce workplace injuries by 20%
• improve return-to-work rates by 10%.

To achieve these goals we will:

• work with others to drive improvements in safety and support
• maintain a scheme that is financially and socially sustainable in the long term
• maintain premiums at nationally competitive levels
• ensure WorkSafe is an organisation where people maximise their potential to make a difference in the lives of Victorians.

This strategy has been developed with extensive input from our staff, our stakeholders and experts in the Victorian community. We look forward to continuing to work together to ensure its success.
