Victoria's Criminal Courts and the coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis
Due to the unprecedented events that are currently unfolding regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis, Victoria's Criminal Courts have suspended most hearings that require witnesses and juries. Courts have suspended these matters to protect the safety of all involved.
We appreciate that the current circumstances may have left those involved in a WorkSafe prosecution feeling anxious and uncertain about when there may be an outcome in their criminal matters. The Courts and WorkSafe are tirelessly working together to ensure that cases can be safely heard as soon as possible. We will provide further information as soon as it becomes available.
Our family liaison officers, solicitors and investigators are available to provide injured workers, affected families and witnesses with support during this time. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the family liaison officer allocated to your matter or contact Advisory on 1800 136 089.
