Health practitioner regulation national law registered providers

The mandatory requirements for registered practitioners are governed by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) under the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme. Providers must at all times maintain board registration in order to be a WorkSafe registered provider.

Acupuncture: Chinese medicine practitioners

This section applies to Chinese medicine practitioners registered in the Division of Acupuncturists under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law.

Chinese medicine practitioners must complete the WorkSafe Application for Registration to Provide Services to Workers form and include their Chinese Medicine Board of Australia registration number in the space provided.

A WorkSafe provider number will be issued for invoicing purposes.

Chinese medicine practitioners must maintain at all times a minimum of $5million professional indemnity insurance coverage.
