Dedicated support
WorkSafe's Claims and Recovery Support team (CaRS) provides direct support and services to Victorian workers recovering from long-term work-related injury.
The team supports injured workers:
- who have been on the Victorian workers' compensation scheme for more than 130 weeks; and
- whose employers have stopped operating.
Claims managed by CaRS
There will be an ongoing transition of eligible claims to the CaRS team. This is part of a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for people recovering from work-related injury. Claims will be considered for transfer from the current agent when the transition criteria are met.
If your claim is transferred to the CaRS team
If you receive confirmation that your claim is being transferred from your current agent directly to the CaRS team, a member of the CaRS team will contact you. They will discuss your circumstances, the next steps in your recovery and how they can support you.
