Dedicated support
The Claims and Recovery Support Division gives Victorians living with the effects of work-related injuries a case management service tailored to their unique needs. Authorised WorkSafe agents continue to support most people accessing Victoria’s workers compensation insurance scheme. Now, a dedicated WorkSafe division has direct responsibility for providing person centred support and services to injured workers with eligible claims.
Claims moving to WorkSafe
In March 2022, the Victorian Government released its response to the Independent Review into the Agent Model and the Administration and Management of Complex Workers Compensation Claims.
In line with the review’s recommendations, the Claims and Recovery Support Division will provide direct support and guidance to approximately 2,000 Victorians who are receiving weekly compensation payments 130 weeks after claim acceptance, and whose employers have ceased to operate.

If you have not received information that your claim is moving to the Claims and Recovery Support Division, you do not need to do anything. Continue to contact your current WorkSafe agent for support and services.
