Dangerous goods licences

We use the personal and health information you provide to:

  • assess the application
  • administer the licence.

This applies to any associated applications.

WorkSafe may use or disclose information under certain acts, regulations and public safety laws. These include the:

  • Occupational Health Safety Act 2004
  • Dangerous Goods Act 1985.

WorkSafe uses or discloses this information for:

  • the administration and enforcement of legislation
  • law enforcement functions and legal proceedings
  • investigating or conducting an interview in connection with the application
  • public health and safety purposes
  • the administration and evaluation of WorkSafe's programs generally.

WorkSafe may disclose personal and or health information to:

  • its contractors and agents
  • a court or tribunal
  • other regulatory agencies including the police
  • government agencies such as AUSTRAC
  • any person authorised by the individual or by law.

WorkSafe may share a person's licence status for checking by:

  • employers
  • prospective employers
  • members of the public.
