Webinar details

While employers have the duty to provide a safe workplace, HSRs play an important role in helping to keep workplaces safe by representing the health and safety interests of employees. One of the powers that a HSR has is to issue a Provisional Improvement Notice (PIN) to an employer if they believe on reasonable grounds that a person is (or has) contravening a provision of the OHS Act or Regulation.

However, a HSR may only issue a PIN after consulting with the person who has management responsibility for the potential contravention. In this interactive session WorkSafe experts, including inspectors and HSR Support Officers, will guide HSRs through how to correctly complete a PIN form, provide advice and answer questions.
