Speakers

Pia Cerveri

Program Manager Healthcare and Social Assistance, WorkSafe Victoria

Pia is a social worker with extensive experience across the statutory, community, and local government sectors. She has led significant work addressing gendered violence in the workplace, including developing campaigns and delivering training through the Victorian Trades Hall Council.

Pia is currently the Program Manager of the Healthcare and Social Assistance Team at WorkSafe Victoria, where she focuses on improving health and safety outcomes, particularly through the prevention of workplace aggression or violence, and other psychosocial hazards.

She is passionate about creating safer, healthier, and fairer workplaces for all workers. Pia holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Social Work, and a Master of Narrative Therapy.

Alex Finlay

Senior Ergonomist, Health & Safety, WorkSafe Victoria

Alex has worked with WorkSafe as an Ergonomist and Inspector for over 14 years. Alex is a qualified physiotherapist with a wide work experience, including 7 years as an Ergonomist and Physiotherapist at the Ford Motor Company.

Alex has an in-depth understanding of the human and environmental factors that influence how a person interacts with their working environment and provides practical and specialist advice on workplace design, hazard identification and risk reduction.
