Join organisational psychologist, author and workplace psychological health and safety expert Dr Kat Page for a practical and engaging session “Leading Well Through Change: Psychological health, safety and the changing workplace”. This session will focus on leading through change in complex and demanding environments. Drawing on the Integrated Approach to Workplace Mental Health, Dr Page will explore what leaders can realistically do to create positive workplace environments where people can continue to perform, adapt and thrive. Attendees will gain practical, evidence-informed strategies they can apply immediately, while learning from peers and reflecting on how these approaches can be used within their own organisations.

You'll also hear from WorkSafe Victoria as they present “Psychological Health and Safety in the VPS: Insights, Expectations and Action”. Through an interactive panel discussion WorkSafe will explore emerging trends, regulatory insights and practical approaches to preventing psychosocial harm and strengthening psychological health and safety across the Victorian Public Sector. Through expert discussion and audience Q&A, participants will gain valuable insights into what effective prevention looks like in practice.

The forum will also feature two industry spotlight presentations showcasing innovative approaches to improving psychological health and safety within the VPS.

Dr Jacqueline Drew and Dr Jacob Keech from Griffith University will present "The COMMAND-Well Project: Transforming Psychosocial Prevention and Response in Victoria Police." Discover how this innovative partnership with Victoria Police is using data-driven insights and leadership development to strengthen psychosocial hazard prevention and support workforce wellbeing.

Associate Professor Kerryn Rubin will present "Safety in Care: Improving workplace psychological health and safety through reducing restrictive interventions." Learn how Peninsula Health's trial is s exploring how mental health services can address psychological hazards through cultural transformation, leadership development and trauma-informed care, with learnings which can be translated and sustained across other services in Victoria.
