Scheduled this year for December 7, Jobs at Home Day is a chance for Victorians to tell their colleagues about their most important reasons for staying safe at work every day, their jobs at home.
To get the conversation started, everyone is encouraged to visit jobsathomeday.com.au, and design and order a customised sticker to announce the job they do when they’re not at work.
Victorians who order a sticker will go into the draw to win a $5000 Flight Centre voucher. They can also enter the draw for a $1000 Coles Group and Myer gift card by sharing a photo of themselves wearing their sticker at WorkSafe's Facebook or Instagram page with #jobsathomeday2018.
Businesses can host their own Jobs At Home Day event, where everyone is encouraged to wear their stickers and talk about the job they chose.
More than 10,000 Victorians took part in last year’s Jobs at Home Day, coming up with roles such as President of Dog Walks, Toy Repair Manager, Wardrobe Adviser and Sous Chef.
WorkSafe Chief Executive and Family Wrangler, Clare Amies said designing and wearing the sticker was a fun way to remind people why workplace safety was so important.
"Everyone has family and friends who rely on them for different jobs at home, whether it is as the Board Game Adjudicator, Late Night Leftovers Magician or Pot Plant Revivalist, and everyone needs to remember why it is essential they return home to where they are needed most," Ms Amies said.
"Tragically, 21 workers have died in Victorian workplaces this year, leaving a gaping hole in the families and communities they have left behind. We are encouraging everyone to design a customised sticker and start a conversation about why it's so important to be safe and healthy at work."
