School maintenance worker dies after fall

It is understood the 67-year-old worker was on the roof of a building when he fell through a metal grate structure to the concrete below at about 2:15pm. He passed away in hospital on Friday.

WorkSafe is investigating.

The death is the sixth confirmed workplace fatality for 2023. There were 13 work-related deaths at the same time last year.
