Plant registration collection statement

This statement tells you what information we collect about you, why we collect it and to who we might share it. If you do not provide this information, we may not accept or process your application.

Collection statement

WorkSafe may collect personal and or health information under:

  • the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004
  • the Equipment (Public Safety) Act 1994
  • associated regulations.

We use the personal and or health information you provide to:

  • assess the application
  • administer the registration.

This applies to any associated applications.

WorkSafe uses or discloses this information for:

  • the administration and enforcement of Acts and associated regulations
  • law enforcement functions and legal proceedings
  • investigating or conducting an interview in connection with the application
  • public health and safety purposes
  • the administration and evaluation of WorkSafe's programs generally.

WorkSafe may disclose personal and or health information to:

  • its contractors and agents
  • a court or tribunal
  • other regulatory agencies including the police
  • government agencies such as AUSTRAC
  • any person authorised by the individual or by law.

WorkSafe may share a registration status for checking by:

  • employers
  • prospective employers
  • members of the public.

This status could be published on WorkSafe's websites.
