Rateable remuneration is payment made to a worker that is subject to a premium. It's not always obvious what is and is not rateable remuneration.

Termination payments – including redundancy payouts and accrued leave – are not part of rateable remuneration.

This document outlines the end-of-employment payments that are rateable remuneration and gives instructions on what to do if the final payout is a lump sum or combination of rateable and non-rateable remuneration.
