Impairment benefit protocols explanatory memorandum

A legal and regulatory explanation of the impairment benefit protocols in Section 98 of the Accident Compensation Act 1985.


What it contains

An Independent Impairment Assessment is an appointment with a medical practitioner who is specially trained to evaluate permanent impairment. After an appointment this doctor will then write a report. Impairment Assessment reports provide information to the WorkSafe Agent that is used to make a decision about a worker’s impairment benefit claim.
