New and second-hand cranes imported into Victoria can present health and safety risks if they are not designed to meet Australian working conditions. This document outlines requirements for importers, suppliers and owners before cranes are used. It explains:

• the legislative duties of all cranes providers, including risk control, provision of information and imported cranes
• additional specific legislative requirements of other cranes with restrictions on their use
