Medical cannabis evidence and practice review

What it contains

The purpose of the report is to update and elaborate upon the findings established by recent reviews commissioned by WorkSafe Victoria and undertaken by the Institute for Safety, Compensation and Recovery Research (ISCRR) in 2021 (Bywood & McMillan, 2021) and 2020 (du Plessis & McMillan, 2020).

Specifically, the research aimed to provide an update to the current available evidence for the use of medicinal cannabis to treat workplace injuries and to elaborate on the previous reviews by identifying some of the outcome measures used to evaluate whether medicinal cannabis is an appropriate treatment choice for patients in other comparable jurisdictions.
