The PHIRES Toolkit

The PHIRES Toolkit has been co-designed by employees from Victorian public hospitals, researchers from Monash University and the University of the Sunshine Coast and WorkSafe Victoria.

The toolkit is designed to help employers:

review, and if necessary revise, risk controls following a patient-handling injury
focus on risk controls for the task, rather than the injured person
consult with health and safety representatives and employees
identify more effective risk controls
